A little girl needs your help to build a school in Haiti.

Hoisted high in the air, 11-year-old Rachel Wheeler caught her first glimpse of the Food For The Poor village she worked for two years to build. From above the crowd, Rachel could see the rows of vibrantly painted pink, blue and green homes, nestled along the coast in Leogane, Haiti, near the epicenter of the January 2010 earthquake. Villagers surrounded Rachel, clapping and singing songs of praise and thanks. One-by-one the residents embraced and kissed the young girl, who helped to move 27 families out of dilapidated shacks into permanent two-room homes.

With the village completed, Rachel has decided to fund-raise to build a school in Haiti.

Please continue to donate to Rachel’s initiative, and be the answer to the prayers of families who have nothing not even access to an education. Already living in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, the people of Haiti continue to experience tragedy and heartache after the devastating earthquake, battling against the deadly cholera epidemic and the start of hurricane season.

Last nite I was reading Woman's World April 2,2012 magazine and read your story in it -- The little girl who built a Village--wow, I was so moved. You are an inspiration to adults and children alike.
Love in action. I am currently reading, the book "George Muller -- Man of Faith and Miracles by Basil Miller, What a prayer warrior, he had an orphanage ministry, and God always provided. Amen.
He kept a prayer journal of answered prayers and there was over 50,000 (fifty thousand) answered prayers. I think you Rachel are an answer to prayer. God Bless you always.

Dear Rachel,
I heard about your story on NPR this morning. Congratulations on your success and thank you for doing what you do. My sister, Rebecca, has collected a ton of new and lightly-used soccer equipment. However, she is having trouble finding a way to get it to Haiti. Any ideas?
Let me know: hannae87@rocketmail.com.

Rachel, I saw you this morning on the Balancing Act, and you were such an inspiration for me. I will donate to your cause. You are indeed an American Idol! I live in the Atlanta area and I am a hairstylist and if there is anything that I can do to help in your fundraising or directly for the Haiti families, I would be happy to. Your parents must be very proud of you. vht1023@bellsouth.net I have a 16 year old daughter and it is girls like you that would inspire her.

Rachel, You have such a big heart at such a young age, and are such an inspiration to others. I worked with your Grandfather in the past and he was the same way, always very giving with a big heart. So it's not suprising that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Your family most be very proud of you. Good things will always come to you.

In these times of great problems one of the few ways we can tell God we love him is by sharing the gifts that he has given us with others. Thanks and God Bless

My first thought when I read this was "GOD BLESS YOU!". May the love of Jesus Christ continue to pierce your heart so that his love can be showered upon others. Keep up the fantastic work in the name of Jesus! Amen!

If more parents raised more children to be less "me me" and more for sharing by their own parental example, we would not have such an unbalance of resources. Bravo mom, Bravo Rachel!!!!!!!
